These are the real deal, Chinese manufactured Shuguang preamp tubes, specified by some of the top boutique amplifier designers. Highly regarded for their bright sound, high gain and very ample output, these premium 12AX7A tubes are carefully screened for noise and microphonics and hand-picked for good gain and high output. These were standard original equipment in nearly every high gain amplifier produced from the 80's onward. Great tone, great price.

"Coke Bottle"

Featuring the classic "coke bottle" shape and rugged internal design, these premium Shuguang 6L6GC tubes are right at home in virtually any vintage amplifier calling for a 6L6 or KT66 output tube. Well suited for creating that wonderful breakup associated with early tube amps, this tube is best used in lower gain tube amps and tube high fidelity equipment. Quite rugged internally, these tubes sound best when biased a bit warm. We purchased every last piece we could find of these tubes, and have some incredibly tight matched sets available, at an even more incredible price!

Shuguang 6L6GCR

"Regular Bottle"

Featuring the standard slim bottle shape and rugged internal design, these premium Shuguang 6L6GC tubes have the same internal design as the coke bottle tubes, and are great in vintage amplifiers. Same as the standard tubes that ship with all new Mesa Boogie amplifiers- if you need a set that has been hand-picked for proper operation in a fixed bias Mesa amplifier, just email us, and we will help you out. These tubes sound best when biased a bit warm, although they won't last quite as long as their European counterparts. Cook 'em in the name of tone...
